  2. As Liaison Officer for Doric Lodge, No. 1193 (EC), last night I had the great privilege and pleasure of presenting a certificate to Bro Anthony John (Tony) Shead, marking 50 years as a Freemason.

I understand that he was initiated into Lodge St Andrew, No. 25, on March 3rd 1967. He told me how much he had enjoyed being a member of the Lodge during his service in the Air Force and how valued his time in Freemasonry was to him.

He joined this Norfolk Lodge in 2001 and became Almoner in 2007. He was awarded the Provincial Rank of Past Assistant Grand Standard Bearer in 2016 for his service.

He enjoyed the good wishes of all present at the meeting and received a warm round of applause.

  3. Just to say a heartfelt thank you to the 160 brethren and friends who turned out in such numbers to raise funds for the Grand Master Mason's Charity,Prostate Scotland. You did him and yourselves proud when we met in the main Town Hall to witness our dear friend Hugh
Clelland and his team carry out a wonderful Master Mason's Degree.Freemasonry is certainly
alive and kicking in the province. On a downbeat note, the lack of light blue regalia did sadden me somewhat.

  4. Greetings from Castle Lodge 122, Eagle, Colorado. My wife and I will be visiting St Andrews on April 25-27. I would greatly enjoy visiting with any available Bretheren and would be proud to buy the first pint. Golfing is also surely to be on the schedule. Unfortunately our visit does not seem to align with any stated communications so some fellowship will have to do. I hope to hear back from a Brother.

  10. Fraternal greetings from Australia, I am with Lodge Army and Navy 517 Sydney and have just found out from a relative compiling our family tree that we originally hail from Crail. I intend to visit Crail in the near future and hope that I will be able to attend Lodge St Andrew, this will be special to me as my Father in Law was a member of St Andrew here in Sydney. I will contact your secretary when the visit draws near.

  11. This is a long overdue message for the Lodge! As a student of the University in the town I found my way to the lodge two years after I arrived. Having been greeted so kindly at my first visit, I was constantly astounded when I received the same greeting every time I attended a meeting. At every turn in lifes path both inside the Lodge and out the members of Lodge St Andrew offered all their help without hesitation. I could not recommend more highly that any student interested in Freemasonary should contact Lodge St Andrew to find out more, and be part of the varied and enlightening community I have been so lucky to be a part of.

Although now graduated from the University an unexpected offer to continue my studies as a research student was given at the last minute, and as soon everything settles again I hope to be visiting the Lodge regularly again.

Fraternal Greating to all members of the Lodge!

  15. I am a Holocaust scholar and recently extended my research to "The Masons and the Holocaust." I have given speeches at lodges throughout Central Florida, and when I visited St. Andrews a few years ago, your lodge was dark at the time.

I have traced my Masonic heritage at least to my great-grandfather, Samuel S. Luehm, in Pennsylvania in the mid-1880's. My maternal grandmother was Mary Calhoun Luehm.
